About Us

Growing up in the jewelry business and graduating from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in 1987, Scott Wickam had acquired a breadth of knowledge about fine jewelry. After a handful of years teaching GIA students the art of jewelry design and creation, Scott made the life-changing decision to leave his position as an instructor and open his own fine jewelry retail location. With a mere ten custom, handcrafted pieces, Goldsmith Gallery Jewelers opened its doors in downtown Billings, Montana in April of 1990.

It didn’t take long for Goldsmith's clients to appreciate the care, quality and expert service Scott built his growing business on. Transforming from a small downtown storefront to a stunning, 7,500 square foot, environmentally conscientious store, Scott continues to grow his business on these core principles. Goldsmith Gallery Jewelers has established itself as Montana’s fine jewelry destination for over 31 years.
